Homeowners insurance covers the possessions inside of someones home. These possessions are protected if there is any damange done to the home and belongings inside, for example, if there is a natural disaster or if someone breaks in and robs the person. In the event of items needing to be replaced if they can not salvage them, the homeowners insurance company will provide a check to cover the loss of the items after the homeowner pays their deductable. Homeowners insurance is typically cacluclated into a mortage payment and paid monthly at a set rate and set deductable amount.
