    This statement is false.

    It is enough to disprove one part of the sentence to make the whole sentence wrong, so let's focus on the crime rate: the neighboring Louisiana has a bigger crime rate than Texas, so this already shows us that Texas can't have the most crime in the US, and therefore the sentence can't be true.

    Still, Texas has relatively high crime rates - although not as high as Luoisiana
