Fugitive Slave Act of 1850.

Explanation:

Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 also known as Compromise of 1850 was the act that denied the slaves from the right of a jury trial. This law also enabled individuals to forcibly capture runaway slaves. Penalty was imposed on them with the punishment of six months in jail if they try to interfere with the laws.

This law also enabled the federal commissioners to find the runaway slaves and return them to their owners. Even the slaves who were living in a free state were bound to return to their owners according to this Act.
