    syntax-first

    Explanation:

Syntax-first term was coined by Lynn Frazier. It is method of parsing a sentence in which syntax is used first and then semantics is used to make a meaning out of sentence. When people read a sentence people group the words into phrases on the basis of rule of syntax. once that is done they use semantics to derive sense of the whole sentence
