    A. Almost every one supported it at first, because the French seemed to be following the footsteps of the Americans.

    Explanation:

The Americans at first were enthusiastic in support of the revolution but later division of opinions became apparent between the anti-federalists and federalists, when the rumours of political change in France reached US, they hoped that democracy would solidify their relations and transform France into a republican ally against the Britain.

The demand for radical social change, violence and political instability in France frightened Americans and the Americans started to argue for or against it, Alexander Hamilton was a federalist and he was against severing the ties Great Britain and was against the revolution, while Thomas Jefferson supported the republican ideals of the French revolution.
