Why do you think Africans liked tales in which smaller animals outsmarted larger ones?

There isn't a right or wrong answer, but I'll give you an idea ...

I think Africans liked tales in which smaller animals outsmarted larger animals, because in most stories the larger animals are always cruel and like to make fun of the smaller animals. But then at the end of the story, the smaller animals prove to be smarter than the larger animals.
