The correct answer is " Drug tests of athletes were reasonable searches" (B). The Vernonia School District 47J v. Action was a case in 1995 in which the US Supreme Court justified its declaration under the Fourth Amendment which forbids unreasonable searches and seizures by state officers. So, they argued that because the school has the custodial of the students, they can act to preserve the students care, including this kind of tests. They were specially for athletes owing to the fact that they were the public face of the school and because of drugs they are easier to get injured.

In Veronia v. Acton, the Rehnquist Court upheld the constitutionality of drug tests for students wanting to play school sports. The majority found that athletes were given an even lower level of privacy in school and that schools had a compelling interest in ensuring that their athletes remain drug free.
