    The Author's Purpose in the text was the transformation of Mars a planet which are suitable for human to live in. This process involves terraforming which simply means purposely changing the surface and also the climate to make it livable for humans.

    One of the issue with the terraforming of Mars is that Mars's axis is 0-90 degrees and this may not be fixed or easily fixed because it is unstable.

    Though Mars can be terraformed because it possessed some of the things needed for the survival of human such as atmosphere, water which can be gotten from melting the frozen ice and also has a stable gravity.
