Whose theory of motivation is being summarized: The purpose of behavior is to serve the satisfaction of bodily needs. If need-based energy accumulates unchecked over time, motivation arises as a sort of emergency warning system in the form of psychological anxiety that signals action needs to be taken. Once action is initiated, both bodily need and psychological anxiety are quieted.

    Explanation:According to Freud's drive theory, there is always an urge which pushes us to fulfill our physiological needs in order to maintain a state of equilibrium in our body for example when you are hungry, there is that drive which pushes you to satisfy this need, you start to look for food or prepare food or grab an apple this all encouraged by this drive. You feel this psychological anxiety which pushes you to satisfy this argent need such as when you thirsty you will feel an urge to look for water, until you find water you won't feel rested.
