    Fan Kuan was a famous Chinese landscape painter. He belong to the Song dynasty. His most famous and well recognized work is the Travelers among Mountains and Streams. Fan Kuan realized that in order to be true artist, he had to make nature as his master or teacher rather than some other artist. He loved seeing the beutiful mountains of Northern China. He did several paintings and flourished in the 10th and early 11th century and is well recognized as a painter in history of China.
