    This is false. The President has the power to veto any and all legislation that Congress passes through both chambers. When the legislation reaches the President, he or she can sign it, thereby rendering it law, or veto it by not signing it and returning it to Congress with a reason why it was rejected, or simply letting it die on the desk after a specified length of time (a pocket veto).
