    One recently developed approach to convincing drug-dependent people to enter a treatment program is intervention. This program includes education process through a face to face meeting of close people with the person in trouble with alcohol or drugs. The purpose of intervention is to provide the alcohol or drug user with a structured opportunity to accept full support and understanding, in so as not to make things worse.
