    AOF=weak

    this lead to the convention of 1787

    were they were going to abandoned the aoc and create a whole new document

    they were also in large amt of debt.

    time era-1778-1781. congress didnt have the power to tax

    2. federal government had no power to enforce laws. The Articles of Confederation did not give strong power to the federal government. and gave all the power to the people, not protecting anyone's individual rights as well.

    couldn't settle disputes between states

    economy - lousy
