Abdul accidentally stepped on and broke his sister's phone case while she was out of the house. He was really worried she would be upset and yell at him for breaking it, so he prepared to tell her that she shouldn't leave her things on the floor for people to step on. When she came home, he told her he stepped on her phone case and broke it. She replied, "No worries. It was only $4 anyway." According to our text book, what was Abdul experiencing?

    Explanation:

    False conflict deals with an individual misinterpreting a person's action. Such person may think there is a serious conflict and this type of conflict isn't meant to be settled most of the time. It takes care of itself.

    It's just a way people express themselves under certain conditions.

    Abdul was already expecting a serious conflict with his Sister because of the phone case he broke however his sister downplayed the whole issue as if nothing happened.
