Philosophers sometimes talk about "folk psychology", meaning the intuitive ideas about mind and behavior that we all carry around in our heads. One of the goals of scientific psychology is to refine and correct these intuitive notions. Looking back over the course, what one concept, principle, or research finding surprised you the most? How did learning about this fact change your understanding of how our minds work, or why we behave the way we do?

    Biological Theory

    Explanation:

Biological theory in psychology holds the opinion that our behaviors are as a result of our gene. This means that the gene transferred to us from our parents are what determines the response we give to events in our life. For a person who is aggressive, it means aggressiveness must have been inherited or passed to the person through his or her parent. unlike folk psychology which may believe it may be due to spiritual possession, scientific psychology believes it could be attributed to the kind of parent the person has.
