He has many responsibilities and has to make the most important decisions. He has no compromises with personal agendas. He serves the citizens of the United States. That is why he is being taken care of with his salary and other benefits. If that were not the case, he could not perform his duties to his fullest. The difficulties that may occur would be to compromise the interest of the nation.

    The President of the United States receives a salary of $400,000. - while in office, the benefit of living in the White House with all his necessities covered for him and his family. He also gets a country house, personal transportation by land, plane, and helicopter. The President receives a pension after its tenure.
