If she already cover at least 3/8 before stopping for water she can stop either on 5/8 of the race or 6/8 of the race. She can stop for water either of the two ways because there are still at least 5/8 that needs to be run before finishing the race and divide it by 2 you can get 2.5 and 2.5 so you can either chose to stop in 5/8 or 6/8 for water.
