A performance review is a process of formally evaluating the employee's work throughout a certain period of time. They often come first in a written form followed by a verbal discussion between an employee and his or her supervisor (sometimes together with other members of the team). Performance reviews are conducted annually or semiannually in order to track employee's development and address any issues he or she had faced during a given period of time.
