    The crux of the matter when it comes to this statement is cost and cost effectiveness. How different states manage the execution of convicts on death row is at the discretion of the states itself. The statement was made as a pro to the death penalty but the issue that arose here was cost. It boils down to basic human dignity and the human rights. While the crime of taking a life is heinous in itself the cost of housing and executing inmates are also a burden on the tax payers. The most human and cost effective way to manage heinous crimes must be dealt with at the utmost respect for all parties involved.
