    Most of the public believed that the US was winning the war easily.

    As the number of televisions grew, the perception of the war among Americans changed. However, the Tet offensive, one of the first to be televised in American, showed the real situation to American households.

    It was a pivotal moment which showed how Vietnamese forces were inflicting damage to Americans and how the truth was being hidden by the politicians.
