    I think the correct answer is the third option. According to Sigmund Freud, everything that has been repressed from conscious awareness makes up the unconscious mind. This part of the mind is the storage of all the memories and the experiences but only those that are repressed due to trauma. These memories are consciously forgotten and are deemed as not important memories. However, it is from these that we form our behaviors, habits and beliefs. The unconscious part would communicate with our conscious mind with the aid of the subconscious mind providing meaning to all the interactions we have with the world.
