    One of the reason was the British navy repeatedly seized American merchant ships (impressment).

    Due to these seizing acts, many resources that needed by American people were in rarity and it threaten to damage American Economy as a whole. Angered by this issue, James Madison called for declaration of war on the British which began the war known as the war of 1812.
