The answer is E - the development of autonomous churches based on vernacular languages

    Explanation:

Vernacular languages are languages which are different from written works, they follow the formal variety of language. It is using a dialect native to a region or country rather than a literary, cultured, or foreign language.

In 1970 Archbishop Iakovos, Greek Orthodox Primate of North and South America urged to switch to vernacular liturgy as they saw their church as slowly becoming an indigenous church.

They permitted the use of the vernacular language as needed in church services in accordance with the judgment of the parish priest in consultation with his bishop. The use of vernacular languages in Orthodox church therefore contributed to the development of autonomous churches based on vernacular languages.
