I believe the answer is: change of venue

When a trial is conducted in a certain state, most of its juries would be the citizens of that state.

When the case happen between two people with different citizenships, this could cause the jury to become bias and support the one that belong to the same state as him/her. Because of this, change of venue sometimes necessary.
