    The correct option is C

The conflict between India and Pakistan is a conflict that has its origin in the independence of these countries in 1947 of the British Raj although its historical antecedents date back to about the year 1000 so it has come to be named the conflict of a thousand years. The conflict between the two countries has unleashed two wars there, and in 1998 it was close to unleashing a nuclear confrontation. The dispute is centered in the region of Kashmir, which currently belongs in part to India but the Pakistanis claim it as their own, arguing that the population is mostly Muslim.
