Matthew Brashears's method of collecting dа ta:

Matthew Brashears, an emerging sociologist presently serving at the University of Carolina chooses to collect primary research data by interviewing people online. This method of collecting crucial data from the people on online platforms is highly convenient but not equally reliable.

It is so because the data obtained from respondents that are personally not aware of who the researcher is may be deceiving and not accurate. Online respondents, either due to the lack of seriousness or due to other personal reasons regarding privacy and security, may choose not to give out true information.

Thus, the data obtained from such a method cannot be considered 100% valid. Hence, it can be concluded that in order to carry out a research and expect it to produce accurate results, it is preferable to fetch data from respondents through personal one-on-one interaction.
