Sue was driving along and texting her new boyfriend, not paying attention to her surroundings. She came up to a stop sign and rather than stop, went right through it. Little Johnny was about to cross the street in front of Sue when he saw her driving fast so he hesitated and was not physically injured.

Sue committed a tort by running the stop sign even though no one was injured.

    Where sue got it wrong is, she was texting her boyfriend while driving, which is the first unlawful act she carried out, secondly she got to a stop sign which she was meant to stop, she didn't, second unlawful act which according to the passage is the question if she committed a tort, yes she did commit a tort although little johnny was not injured physically.
