The relationship between citizenship and the right to vote

    In most cases, citizenship is a requirement to have the right to vote.

    However, it's not sufficient (for example, minors have citizenship but no right to vote)

    and sometimes in local levels resident non-citizens can have a right to vote, for example in the EU.
