Zelda has a very bad day at work, and gets yelled at by her boss for something that she didn't even do wrong! When she gets home her kids are misbehaving, but before she yells at them she takes a deep breath and realizes that she is not mad at them. "I'm still mad at my boss," she thinks.     Explanation:

    It is crucial to be able to monitor our emotions and to properly express them however it is equally important that we are also able to grasp, analyse and appropriately respond to them.

    Four branch model defines four levels of our emotional intelligence which are the ability to understand our emotions, ability to manage emotions, emotional perception and ability to properly reason with emotions.

    Understanding emotions:

    If is important to understand the emotions that we face at any given moments such as understanding why is a person frightened or angry. For example if your mom is angry you need to understand why she is angry. She may be angry because you didn't obey one of her rules or you didn't commit you your house chores as required but it always gives us a way to properly handle the emotions if we are able to interpret them correctly.
