Many places implement dress codes in order to simplify the process for people who might be confused about what is considered appropriate and what is not. When a dress code is not in place, it can be harder to ensure that all people dress to a similar standard and in a similar tone.

In this case, Jayson wants to stop the implementation of a dress code. However, he still wants people to dress well and professionally. In order to do so, he has a few different options. Jayson would organize informative meetings or workshops where the value of dressing professionally is discussed. Jayson could also provide recommendations on how to dress appropriately. These would be different from a dress code as they would not be mandatory.
