Preschoolers and young school aged children will experience a range of emotions. A lot of time a child will feel abandon because they only know having both parents, and with one of them leaving from the main house hold the child will feel empty, or not fully loved. Other times the child will lash out because they are angry and have no idea on how to express in words to either parent why they are mad.
