Which evidence would support an argument that Americans watch more movies during times of economic recession?

    Despite the recession, total ticket sales increased around 17% and average attendance in cinemas increased around 16%.

    this happened despite the fact that companies that made the movies increase their average price due to the inflation. It's predicted that this happened because unemployment made people had more free time.
