During the Revolutionary War, Black Slaves who fled the British Army joined the Patriot, the 13 colonies that rejected British rule and declared themselves as the United States of America.

    Explanation:

The motive behind joining the rebel American forces was desire for adventure, freedom from bondage and the possibility of receiving bounty in the form of monetary payments and the chance to get freedom. The free blacks in the South and the North fought on the both sides of the Revolution. On the other side slaves were recruited to weaken their masters who once supported the opposing cause.
