The Magna Carta was a revolutionary agreement and governing model in England because for the first time it placed the King under the law and it also established specific rights for citizens and nobles of England. Therefore, the Magna Carta served as a model for the Framers of the Constitution because the framers of the Constitution wanted protections against the abuse of government power and specifically wanted to prevent too much power from being amassed in any one branch of government or in the hands of any one individual in government.
