Almost 105 miles from the tip of the Florida peninsula to the closest portion of the land of the Island of Cuba. So many islanders from Cuba, Bahamas, and Jamaica decide to immigrate to Florida because it is the closest option, and already they have families and friends in south Florida and the Florida Keys.
