Why did disease spread so rapidly in American cities in the late 1800's

    Cities in the 1800's weren't very sanitary as they are today, many colonists, slaves, and Native Americans discovered diseases their immunity systems weren't used to so it would attack and possibly kill many due to lack of protection from these new diseases.

    Close quarters and new diseases to America but in Britain it would be industrialization
