What is an important animal resource of Great Plains Indians

One important animal resource to the Great Plains Indians were the buffalo. It was the main source of food and was hunted for its meat and skins. The meat was preserved by drying or made into soups. The hides were important for clothing and also tanned and used to make shelters or tent like structures called wigwams.
