The central government intervenes in the North Korean economy by imposing sanctions on them and from restricting other countries from trading with them.

    Explanation:

For not abiding by the non-proliferation conditions put forth by the United States and for threatening the United States with the threats of nuclear and hydrogen bombing, the United States government has been imposing various sanctions on North Korea. These sanctions are to restrict the global allies of the United States from keeping any sort of trading and political relations with North Korea. Through such sanctions, the United States made sure that North Korea was isolated and as a result, stopped the development of nuclear and hydrogen weapons.
