How would you classically condition a child who is afraid of dogs?

    You would classically condition a child to play with a friendly dog by creating a positive feeling whenever the child does play with the dog. For example, if every time the child petted the dog, there was praise from her parents, the child becomes happy. This will continually happen until the child automatically feels happy when she is petting the dog.
