    Answer and Explanation:

Transcendence as well as Religion has been with the human race since time immemorial. This has been in man's bid to overcome his limitations - the human condition. The human condition remains the lack and limitations of the human capacity. It takes different forms such as: mental limitations, physical limitations in the form of diseases and mortality, scarce and limited resources, hostile environment imperfect for the human race. Man has taken to transcendence beliefs to hope for a resolve of all his problems as man is seen as incapable of this.

Transcendence is observed in religion as taking the form of belief in greater self or a greater being that "transcends" the present life. Most forms of religion hold the belief of an immortal self that lives within the physical body and goes on to live fully after the physical body dies and are subject to a greater being who is the originator of all immortal beings called souls. Individuals with this view suggest that these immortal beings transcend all natural law and limitations and are therefore beyond the human condition problem.
