As a means of combating poverty the South African government provides for the following

1. social grants

2. nutrition programmes

3. access to free basic education

4. free health care

5. housing

I believe that those options are short term solutions and are not going to fix Africa's problem. They need to take back there, economy by introducing taxation on all of the international mining companies. Second they need to to enforce laws that make com

panies hire local.
