    Due to the leakage in the mitral valve, the blood flows in two ways, in the process of contraction.

    And some of the blood flows in its normal order, i. e., from the ventricle via the aortic valve, but some blood flows back into the atrium.

    And due to this leakage, the blood pressure increases.
