How did the ottoman invasion affect europe?

    It isolated the countries from the capitalistic system of Western Europe. It held a virtual monopoly on trade between Europe and Asia as it controlled many of the trade routes, gaining control of most land routes to east Asia. By now much of the Eastern Europe was unified under the control of the Ottoman Empire. It was the center of interactions between the eastern and western worlds for six centuries.
