Why is paul transfixed by the boy who never grew?

    Paul is transfixed on the grounds that he not just feels for the Boy Who Never Grew, however he sees his own circumstance similarly. Like the Boy Who Never Grew, Paul has been inspected by the best of specialists he too is viewed as a sort of monstrosity, and like the "Kid" nobody has discovered a reason or cure for his pain.
