Answer: Bail is used to allow a defendant to prepare for trial.

    Explanation:

Bail refers to an agreement which allow an individual charged with a criminal offence to be out of jail while he or she wait for his or her trial. It can also be referred to cash or property which a person charged with criminal act gives to a court in order to ensure that the person appear in court when ordered to do so while the case is pending. The amount is set by the judge and the money deposited with the clerk of the court. The money is been returned after the case is settled.
