In this text, the author tells the story of a dog named Naki'o. Naki'o was born in an abandoned house in Nebraska. His mother died, and he got his paws frozen in a puddle. When he was rescued, his paws had to be removed. So were the tip of his tail, part of an ear, and part of his nose. Naki'o was adopted, and he received new legs. Now he gets around just fine.

    The frozen paws come out of nowhere. You need to explain why the paws are frozen. As far as I know what your saying is the cause of his frozen paws is his mothers death.
