    He was not able to bridge all the proven ideas through citing.

    Because he did not cite the extracted ideas, he was not able to conclude on his own. It should have been the basis for his analysis to form his own concepts. His action only made him plagiarize from his sources. He did not develop his way of analyzing texts which should be the core skill development for that activity.
