    Explanation:

The Green Revolution is a movement that took place in the 1960s with the purpose of increasing agriculture worldwide, especially in developing countries. This movement implemented the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and novel irrigation methods.

Today, however, we know that the overuse of fertilizers and pesticides is extremely harmful for wildlife due to its high toxicity, leading to important population declines. Plus, traditional irrigation takes significant amounts of freshwater, impacting and producing a negative alteration to freshwater systems, such as rivers and lakes.
