What is the common purpose of the Ninth and Tenth amendments?

The authors that had written the bill of rights felt that they actually missed certain rights that should have been included. To cover those rights of the common people, the Ninth and the Tenth amendments were created. One good example of is the right of privacy. This is one important right that had not been listed in the Bill of Rights.
