    The government of Ancient Egypt was different from the government of Mesopotamia:

    A. Ancient Egyptians did not elect anyone for government positions.

    Ancient Mesopotamia was ruled by kings as well, but there was a collection of "wise men" who were chosen and elected by the citizens. These wise men could overrule the king.
